Transparent about what ATS Insight does — and what it does not.
What we model
ATS Insight is an application debugger for a specific job ad and your CV. For each analysis we examine:
- Job-ad requirements — essential vs desirable wording, eligibility filters, grad-timing windows
- Work-rights visibility — whether eligibility language in the ad is reflected clearly on your CV
- Keyword discoverability — terms recruiters may search for vs what is explicit or only inferred from your CV
- Recruiter skim patterns — what a quick human read may struggle to find in 10–30 seconds
- Cover letter alignment — role specificity, evidence strength, generic wording risk (when provided)
- International friction posture — clarity signals for international students, not a visa decision
What we don't claim
- We do not predict who will be hired or guarantee interviews
- We do not reverse-engineer proprietary ATS source code (Workday, Taleo, Greenhouse internals, etc.)
- We do not invent skills, projects, or experience you have not evidenced
- We do not recommend keyword stuffing or misrepresenting qualifications
Why not just ChatGPT?
Generic AI can rewrite a CV, but it typically lacks:
- Structured parsing of this job ad's eligibility language
- Ranked fixes tied to likely screening friction for this role
- Evidence-linked rewrites with truth-basis from your CV
- Separate ATS debugger vs recruiter-lens views
- Saved reports, usage limits, and advisor PDF exports for career services
Example reasoning chain
How one finding is produced — Graduate Civil Engineer sample (not a hiring verdict):
- Ad signal: "You must have unrestricted rights to work in Australia" — essential requirement in the job ad.
- CV signal: Work-right status is not stated clearly near the top of the CV.
- Screening inference: Eligibility friction may occur before your project experience is read in depth.
- Recommended fix: Add a dedicated one-line work-rights statement — only if accurate for your situation.
- Rewrite basis: CV quote: "Helped prepare drawings in AutoCAD." → suggested clearer project-linked wording (same facts, stronger evidence).

- Run ATS readability and search-visibility checks
- Apply recruiter-lens heuristics for skim friction
- Rank priority fixes and generate truthful rewrite suggestions
- Produce an executive summary and optional PDF exports
We do not publish internal prompts or proprietary scoring formulas — but every recommendation links back to ad wording or CV evidence where possible.
